It is with deep regret that the Central Jersey Council announces the passing of First Lt. Christopher Troche, USMC. Lt. Troche is the son of former Council President Ed Troche and his wife Debbie. He was an Honors Graduate of St. Joseph’s RC High School in Metuchen NJ before attending the US Naval Academy in Annapolis Maryland. Upon graduation from Annapolis and Commissioning as a 2nd. Lt. in the USMC, Christopher was accepted into Naval Flight School in Pensacola Florida. Prior to Lt. Troche’s plebe year at Annapolis, he proudly served in the Naval Sea Cadet Corps as a plank owner of the BB-62, Battleship NJ Division. His service as a Sea Cadet was active, dedicated and meritorious and included being awarded two Theodore Roosevelt Medals. His academic career at St. Joseph’s High School was equally distinguished and was only rivaled by his athletic abilities. Upon graduation of the US Naval Academy, the past Presidents of the Central Jersey Council took great Honor in presenting Lt. Troche with his US Marine Corps Ceremonial Sword. Christopher was predeceased by his loving mother Debbie Troche and is survived by his father Ed, his older brother Derrell and a sister in law Joan, a sister Kelly Troche and two neices and a nephew.
