On January 27th our council held its annual installation dinner meeting for the installation of council officers and board of directors for the following year.
The meeting was kicked off by an extremely professional color guard provided by our adopted Naval ROTC unit from Rutgers University.
The event was well attended by members of our adopted military units (Navy, Coast Guard, and Naval ROTC) plus guests.
Attendees included ‘sailors of the year’ from our adopted units who were honored individually during the course of the meeting. Our installation dinner is a special time where we get to recognize the professionalism and outstanding achievements of these men and women who often go way beyond what might normally be expected of them in their individual roles, showing true leadership and a ‘can-do’ attitude.
Below are a small selection of photos from this event.
Following are several of our US Coast Guard Sailors of the Year:
A member of the Rutgers Naval ROTC Color Guard won the drawing for the TV (provided kindly by Council President Chris Aaron), but very generously donated it to the Blue Jacket Sailor of the Year from NWS Earle.
